What a great place! Kids loved it. Very cool made out of wood n tires. Beach right there as well.
Great park! Playground equipment for toddlers through big kids. Nice skate park. Beautiful beach. There were several windsurfers there last time I visited. Fun to watch! Nice little Marina and boat launch. Lots of picnic spots. Bike/hike path. Bathrooms near the beach although they are closed after labor day. Cute gazebo for ceremonies or just to sit and enjoy..
Probably the best public beach in the UP! The bay is very protected so the water temperature gets very warm during the summer relative to the rest of Lake Michigan and even on windy days the waves don't get very big which is great for the kids having a safe place to swim!
Beautiful large park on the lake. A great sand beach for swimming or watching the sunrise, perfect lawn for games, picnics, or parties. There's a nice pavilion you can rent. Plenty of picnic tables. "Harbor Hideout" is a fun and safe playground that the kids love. It has a large Marina with a yacht club. The park is the start of a boardwalk that follows the coast of Lake Michigan.
Easily accessible from highway. Lots of families and children on the weekend, still plenty of room for everyone on the beach and around the park. Auto parking can take a few minutes to find a spot. Restrooms, showers, snack bar, life guard on duty.
